      Synopsis:
There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness. The invisible straitjacket has been loosened to free the mind of a woman irreversibly obsessed with the most beautiful boy in the world. A journal becomes the ultimate means to record her obsession, and at the same time, develop an intimate relationship with the object of her desire: the young man with spellbinding green eyes she calls Seven.
As she continues to fill her journal with feelings and thoughts, she begins drifting away from reality before entering an altered state of consciousness, where her path magically meets that of Seven. Soon, they both find themselves enslaved by an uninhibited passion, unafraid to bare their soul, while fighting against their own inner demons in an ongoing struggle for survival.

      Review

"This brilliant first novel is akin to a stream of consciousness, which, if you have ever been obsessed with anything or anyone, you realise, is your own. The author is adept at penetrating the darkest realms of your psyche that you previously thought were hidden. Here the pain, pleasure and utter despair of obsession are stripped naked with page-turning, riveting honesty in a tale so mesmerising you will be unable to put the book down.

Thankfully it is peppered with humour. This sprinkling of comedy shines light into potential blackness, the mark of which could otherwise leave a stain not easy to erase. There are also flashes of sheer brilliance when the author weaves words in a way that will make you gasp for more.

I look forward to further work by Ms Jacques." - Dr Rhiannon Short (London, UK)
